Archaeological Records Management Section

New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs |  Historic Preservation Division

Welcome to ARMS!

The mission of the Archaeological Records Management Section (ARMS) of the New Mexico State Historic Preservation Division (HPD) is to house, maintain and protect all records of archaeological investigation in the State of New Mexico. ARMS is also responsible for protecting the security of that collective information, while providing access to the same to qualified users.

Please note that as part of the State of New Mexico's employee furlough plan, ARMS will be closed on Friday, April 2nd, 2010.

The Museum of New Mexico Board of Regents has met and approved the rule changes proposed by ARMS earlier this year.   The rule changes and fee increases proposed for Title 4, Chapter 51, Part 5, Cultural Resources Museum of New Mexico, Archaeological Records Repository and Cultural Resource Information System have gone into effect on January 1, 2010.

Click here for further information on the rule changes and fee increases.
